BOOM. Weekly Fitness Wrap-Up

Hey Peeps! Not a lot of time to gab today. Did a crazy P90x PLYO workout today. LOVE that one- his approach is totally different than Cathe's workouts for HIIT and I love it. Almost an hour today and I was a sweaty mess:

OMG. My glutes are on fire. 

Still loving all the alternative protein sources I'm using, and gosh I sure love a shake in between meals. It breaks up the day. Today I used fresh blackberries and Egg Protein Powder.

What is your favorite Protein Shake/Smoothie concoction?

Anyway- first week of Valerie Waters Bikini Body Express down and I feel great. The workouts are kicking my a** and I feel leaner without a doubt and like I've worked every muscle group in this body! BOOM. My diet is great and I feel better getting my meals in throughout the day. No more Excedrin PM! Taking my Vitamins! Adding in probiotics next week!

TGIF. 

'I've had an insane week. OMG. Insane Friday. Just finished. I am off to do some ENJOY. Here is my sweaty vlog from yesterday talking about Valerie Waters and her asskicking workout. OMG> Today I did Ibiza and again was crying for mommy. Seriously. This BUTT is getting worked!! And I also used my Ultimate Dip Machine thingy. Don't make me look up the actual name of it:

And this is me on the floor gasping for air but smiling it was over today:

Also-- as you know, GNC sent me some NON-WHEY protein powders and I am sooo happy. 

I've now used the Vega Sport, the Egg Protein and the Soy 95 today:

Honestly, they are all GREAT. I was nervous about trying the Egg Protein, thinking it would taste EGGY but it is as stellar as the best chocolate protein powder out there! Bonus!! And the Soy95 is NON-GMO Soy!! So. It's Friday. I'm kicking but on Valerie's workouts. Sticking to the diet plan. Taking my vitamins. Taking Melatonin at night instead of Excedrin PM. It's beautiful. ;-)

Happy Mother's Day!!

Happy Sunday and Happy MOM'S Day!

I'm taking some time for me tonight so it's quickie blog post. I'm home. I'm home for SEVERAL weeks which is exciting for many reasons and will really allow me to focus hard on my new program with Valerie Waters. I am giddy with excitement. I'm doing this 1000%. No shiny object syndrome. No trying something else after Friday. It's on. I'm weighing myself and taking measurements tomorrow and will take photos daily and weekly. 

Bikini Body Express is what Val is starting me on-- take a peek:

That's a sample of the type of workouts she does and I will tell you-- don't be fooled if for one second you think this is light fare. No way. And Val said I can do yoga a few times a week in the evening without veering into overtraining land. This is good-- because another thing I'm focusing on is some OM time for my mind. Yoga is when I really tune out the world and slow down a bit. And clearly-- clearly--- I need to do this to balance the insanity of this business I'm building. 

Of course going to hot yoga is my favorite first thing to do for yoga but if not, I have these DVDS on the way, and they seem to be just my style:

Monday Manjoyment!

I don't need to say much more. Head on over to the Superficial and enjoy some more of Shemar. *Ahem* 

It's late! I've been in transport from Chicago to NYC most of today. Why does it take all day?

 

  • Shower etc. 10:30-12pm
  • Limo 12pm-12:45pm 
  • Check in at airport 12:45pm-1pm 
  • Quick Lunch (Steak Salad with beets and unsweetened Iced Tea) at Wolfgang Pucks at the airport 1pm-1:50pm
  • Grab a hot green tea at Starbucks 1:55pm
  • Haul ass to the gate, having already missed my Priority Access boarding. (when you travel as much as I do it actually is nice to get on the flights early)
  • Flight from 2:15pm -4:15pm which is 5:15pm EST
  • off the plane by 5:30pm EST
  • Bags picked up by 5:45pm EST
  • Cab from 5:50pmEST-6:15pm EST
  • Pay slow-a** cab driver
  • Check in at hotel 6:30pm EST
  • Unpack from 6:40-7pm EST
  • Order delivery from fabulous Vegan restaurant
  • Eat at 7:30pm EST
  • Catch up on work
  • Realize at 9pm EST as I'm getting ready to workout that we have a Twitter chat!
  • 10pm EST put the blog up
  • 10:05pm EST yes I am going to workout when I hit publish.
  • BOOM

See the above little vlog from Valerie - y'all, I had some one-on-one coaching from Val when I was in LA. It amazes me how a trainer can adjust ONE little thing and WHOA it makes all the difference in the world. For that first Valband move, she showed me how to not let my FOOT lead but to lead with my knees, keeping my foot directly below (each) knee. WOW. TOTALLY MAKES YOUR GLUTES WORK HARDER and I was sore 3 days later. She rocks. 

I'm going to be doing the Bikini Body Express program first with Valerie. I will be following everything EXACTAMENTE. And I anticipate great results.  ;-)
