NOW This is a Must-Have!

OH that's not all!! What about THIS???

Guys, I've been having a whole lotta fun Tuesday nights with the peeps from General Mills- co-hosting Twitter Parties with Multi-Grain Cheerios and NBC's The Biggest Loser (#client). We have so many amazing people sharing tips and ideas and recipes, you really need to hop on over and join us some time!! Just tune into to Twitter on Tuesday nights at 8pm EST and follow #MGCheerios and #BL11 (#client) to join the gab!

Anyway, we always have some fun "recipe" ideas, from those as simple as adding Cheerios to greek yogurt (hello yum!) and then some more complex, cooked recipe ideas. Now, I'm able to - with these great gifts provided by General Mills - offer a prize tonight! Not only will you win these 2 Biggest Loser Cookbooks, you'll also win what I consider a must-have for a healthy kitchen:

I'm gonna tell you, a good food scale can change your food portion world. Seriously. Even with healthy choices like grilled chicken or fish, sometimes "eyeballing it" doesn't work. Use a scale!! ;-) And of course, the winner this week gets some New Multi-Grain Cheerios as well. Totally yummy and lo-cal kids! HELLO. Good Stuff.

To be entered in this yummy giveaway, tell me in the comments two things. Tell me your favorite thing about me (hehehehe hohohoho) and tell me a fun creative idea for using Multi-Grain (or any Cheerios) in a recipe!!

Surprise Yourself.

Hey Y'all! How was your Tuesday? Today was one of those days that simply FLEW by.....here it is 8pm and I just wrapped up our Twitter Party with Multi-Grain Cheerios and I'm thinking, "Where did the hours go today?". Ahhh well. What are ya gonna do?

Anyway, the title of today's post is "Surprise Yourself" and this was on my mind as we were in the midst of our Twitter party (which is with NBC's The Biggest Loser show as a partner, #client) and I'm seeing all these amazing transformations on the TV show. With most of them, you see not only physical transformation but emotional ones and often, the people say, "I didn't think I could EVER...." or "I had no idea I could...." - you get the idea.

Remember how I've shared with you all that success in any fitness journey is largely going to depend on a POSITIVE MINDSET. You have to decide what you want to accomplish. Then you have to BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN DO IT. A big change that I am making in my own life right now is to STOP the mental "torture" of myself that I've been allowing- the constant negative reinforcement I have been dishing out to myself that only served to stress me out MORE. Instead of thinking thoughts like, "I might as well give up.....I'm not seeing any changes...", I'm thinking thoughts of success like, "I'm going to blow my mind with the successful changes I'm making. I'm going to go above and beyond my original goals. There is NOTHING that can stop me."

When you see before and after pictures like the ones above, do you think that this person honestly thought they'd end up looking like that after picture? I bet many of them didn't, and they probably got REALLY frustrated on the way there....but they didn't give up.

Be your own cheerleader. Commit to that. Encourage yourself. Commit to getting rid of the things that BRING YOU DOWN because believe me, a healthy mind and STATE OF MIND is just as important in achieiving your fitness objectives as your physical capabilities

On that note, even though it's late, I'm off to get my Yoga in for the night. I was planning to do Jackie Warner's new Circuit DVD that I have, but that will be tomorrow and I will review it for you then.

Question of the Day: Do you feel over-stressed? What do you do currently to chill out, relieve stress? If you haven't been doing anything, what are your plans to LOSE THE STRESS in your life?
