Fail to Plan. Plan to Fail. 

If you are in a city for the first time and have to get somewhere, do you just drive aimlessly, taking random streets, hoping that if just keep going, you'll end up where you need to be? 

I DOUBT IT.

Do pilots flying planes just point the front of the plane "west" or "east" to get to LA or Boston? I don't think so.

If you want to reach an ideal healthy weight or improve the conditioning of your body, will just winging it get you there?? Will "winging it" and hoping to fit your workouts in to a busy week work? Doubtful.

Fail to Plan, Plan to Fail. 

When I read Val's Blog post today, it got me into this line of thinking. What is MY one thing that is impeding my progress?? CLICK HERE TO READ HER BLOG.

We've heard it time and again, but I'm realizing it is more true than ever. I have SO MUCH GOING ON RIGHT NOW and if I don't make a list/map at the beginning of each day, prioritizing what HAS TO BE DONE IN THIS 24 HOUR PERIOD, it will not get done. If I allow myself to just take calls from friends or business colleagues - without scheduling it and having an agenda- wow I would suddenly be without 2 hours in my day. 

My days are tending to get out of control and often, my planned workouts (that are really only planned in my head, not on paper) are taking a back seat.

If I don't have a plan, I will not reach the target. PERIOD. I know what I need to do to get from A to B. Now, it's just a matter of fitting in what I need to do each day, into my day. PERIOD.

How do you prioritize and schedule so you get your workouts done??
