Monday Manjoyment!

Happy Monday Kittens! How was your weekend? Mine ROCKED. 

And now I want to go surfing. 

Ahh Matthew. You make even me want to date a hippie boy for a few months at least. 

I'm getting in a better groove every day. I'm making time for myself and it shows. I actually made up a daily checklist today- I'm printing it out every day and marking off my morning stuff: Breakfast, prayer/meditation/workout/plank- THEN I can start work. And then for my workouts, I wrote out my cardio, my body parts to focus on (so I don't keep only doing my favs like shoulders and biceps haha)....and after SXSW I will be training with Electra at least once a week so watch out. 

OMG. 

I love this surfboard so much. 

Awkward pause. Excuse me while I purge my usual Monday unclean thoughts.

Here is my ramble-on-a-thon from this morning: 

As you notice in my vlog I've finally remembered to share links to the companies I mention. In this one I talked about Kamagon Ball and my new ULTIMATE SANDBAG Training System. So YUMMY. I'm doing a little sandbag circuit and the Kamagon Ball, Ultimate Sandbag, and TRX will be coming with us on the FitFluential Road Trip to Austin for SXSW!! Stay tuned for a boatload of videos of fitness fun on the road-- March 5-16th. ;-)

You know what I like about Matthew? He's all about all kinds of fitness- running, surfing, and yoga. He makes it part of his lifestyle and it shows. I mean, it's a big goal of mine this year and beyond to get more dudes to see the benefits and badasseryness of Yoga. 

See that bottom stretch? That's the one that kills me in yoga-- whenever we do it I have to use a block. I have such tight hips but we are working on that. I have tight hips NOW. I am changing them. As I am changing my body daily. ;-) 

And now, I must go. Book a flight to Miami. DANG. I need beach time.

Monday Manjoyment!

What's UP Kittens? How's your week starting to look? Can I have a moment to whine? I'm BEAT! Wow....you'd think that with all of my life changes starting last week I might have had a moment or two of Zen and rest but UM NO. I do believe that in the next day or so all this madness with my schedule will settle down...but Good Lord! So many details, so many calls, so many EVERYTHING. My throat is starting to hurt today and that's NO GOOD. Time to get some self-imposed TIME OUT and not catch a cold. 

Bless His Heart. I'm featuring this photo to showcase Matthew's assets in that he really has a nice surfboard here. I'd love to know that brand so I can buy it. Yea, that's what I'm thinking about RIGHT NOW is being the surfboard. 

We all know that Mattykins loves to workout- although it does make me a wee bit uncomfortable to know that he has an aversion to deoderant, but I'll let that go. What I love is that he makes no excuses, he works out most of the time OUTDOORS-- 

He's into yoga, running, surfing, weights, you name it. Dude is like the definition of health and fitness. We likey. He also has a very large big toe. See that? I mean, that's a big toe with the potential for its own zip code. Whoa. No wonder he goes barefoot all the time, he may have a challenge fitting those toes into dress shoes. ;-) 

This is a delectable moment in time. And by delectable I mean, well, who cares what I mean? Let's just bask in the glory of healthy folks out on the run. 

Now on that note, I can't EVEN make up an excuse for not shooting my KO vlog today other than I'm just buried and heading to a dinner tonight so I have no time. I have been saying this for several days but I should be back tomorrow. Today was a NO workout day and I'm fine with that, cuz tomorrow is GSP Rushfit and Hot Yoga. Clearly I am a changed woman.

Monday Manjoyment!!!

Happy Monday Kittens. How was your weekend?? Mine was good, and my Monday is KICKING BUTT! BOOYA! I did my Insanity workout (Plyometric Cardio Circuit) this morning and torched 377 calories. OMG I was a sweaty mess and I PUSHED MYSELF. Did you? Are you starting off your week with progress or excuses? COME ON! 

Haven't featured our friend Matthew on Manjoyment in a while. He's such a beach bum boy isn't he? And then there is that whole disturbing issue of the idea that he likes to live in a tent or something on the beach and not wear deoderant, but heck-- this is just Monday Manjoyment where we only LOOK. And maybe toss around a few naughty colorful thoughts in our heads. 

Clearly the boy works out, and I really like how he just does his THANG and he isn't looking for your approval. He's all in touch with his yoga-ness too:

And is wrong that I'm upset at these photos where he is clearly way more flexible than I am in the second pose:

DAYUM. Boy is jacked up and just OWNING IT. Go for it soldier, You OWN IT. I'll just sit here and have my Cabana boy bring me another mojito while I watch you. 

Speaking of BadAss Monday Manjoyment, look what I discovered today:

Yes. I ordered it. And I ordered one of him too. I need him to be my bodyguard. There's a few people I'd like him to rough up talk to as well. 

Is it wrong for a woman of substance like me to like a man-airhead that looks badass? I don't see the problem there. 

Anyway--- Question of the Day: who is going to Fitbloggin this weekend? Will I see you?? Can't wait!! WOOT! 

Run Matthew, Run. And please pick me up a DRANK and then come back. I need some more Hawaian Tropic Oil on my back. Kthanksbye.

Monday Manjoyment!

Hey Kittens!! How was your Monday?? ;-)

I haven't featured Mr. M-blah-blah-blah for a while, because frankly it is difficult for me to appreciate his buff-dom while ignoring his views on deodorant. God Bless your naturalism Matthew, but I prefer the non-B.O. approach. Just sayin. 

Anyway- y'all, I gotta tell you- HOT YOGA yesterday was awesome. And by awesome I mean I almost died. LOL but really- it was INTENSE and very humbling, but I stayed in there the full 90 minutes and I am DEFINITELY going back for more. 

Today's workout was KILLER!! I did about 15-20 minutes of HIIT via Cathe 30/30- see below for a sample: 

I followed that by P90X Shoulders and Arms- BOOYA! I focused on giving it my ALL and it was awesome. Overall- I had an 825 Calorie Burn! WOOT!

Our friend Matty is deeply into yoga and all things fitness as you can see here. I shared these photos because, well, he has his shirt off. Secondly, these are poses we did in Hot Yoga yesterday! But I'll tell ya- I had some **challenges** doing the bottom pose. I'll work up to that. 

Anyway kids, I must retire. This is my last week off- and I have to share this. I SLEPT IN UNTIL 9:45AM this morning! This is UNHEARD OF and so sinfully delicious, it was scary. (thank you Amy, I know you will appreciate that term.) I was like a little bunny snuggled in....nothing was pulling me outta there.
