One Step At A Time.

I don't know about you guys, but I kind of LIKE workouts that leave me feeling like this. I really enjoy a killer sweatfest and that feeling that you just can't give any more! 

Sadly, today I couldn't do that much. I'm kinda ticked off you guys- I talk about it again in my vlog below but this collarbone area on my left side is REALLY hurting. How in the world did I hurt THAT? It doesn't feel like a muscle, it feels like in between my collarbone or underneath it. I started to do a TurboFire workout (my first time!) and I literally had to make up my own cardio "stuff" to do that didn't involve big arm movements like punching or reaching overhead because that collarbone area HURTS. Y'all know I'm a tough cookie but I'm NOT about making this "owie" any worse so I'm REALLY out. It's pissing me off- it's been sore for close to a week. I probably shouldn't have worked Shoulders last night. OY. Any pointers....let me know....

Side note- Kids, OMG. I will say, and granted I've only "kind of" done one DVD and there are like 12 of them, but TurboFire has the BEST MUSIC EVER of any workout DVDS I've ever seen. Insanity has cool music that can really make you motivated, but this- OMG there is NO way you won't WANT to keep moving and shaking your BOOTAY when you have this on. Not sure why I'm so surprised, Chalene is kind of a BFF of mine...and I hadn't gotten it because I was trying to be a good girl and not buy every single fitness workout on the market. Anyway, OMG!!! 

Seriously, I LOVE it. I'm not the most coordinated person when it comes to "class" style workouts and I do think it will take me some time to feel like I'm doing all the moves on cue when she does them, but the music and energy is so fun, I don't care. SO BUMMED I felt that I couldn't continue the class.

SOOOOOO - did I give up and sit on the couch?? I wanted to! But I'm like HECK NO- I'm here! I showed up, what ELSE can I do?? So I left the DVD on and did my own moves to the music, then I did some of Cathe's Butts N Guts....again I just felt like I had to be careful lifting weights today with this left shoulder issue. Overall burn: 450 Calories. I give today 3 stars.

I have a confession to make to you guys. I've been feeling a little 'sad face' lately about my results. I mean, yes, I have noticed some results...but it is REALLY HARD for me to deal with putting a whole lot of effort and focus on all of this and to not see more dramatic differences. I tell you this, because I want you to know I have DOWN THOUGHTS too. Sometimes I wanna give up because I feel like WTF is taking so long? I feel like whether I kill myself focusing on diet and workouts or if I wing it....I just stay around the same. I'm not gaining and getting fat, and I know I'm in an 'ok' "healthy" range...but it's not where I should be. Sometimes I wonder if I am GOING CRAZY because I think, HOW IS IT POSSIBLE for me to be eating no carbs now (like wheat/flour etc.) 6 days a week, good proteins, vegetables and good fats, plus working out, and yet.....I'm not seeing a difference. Maybe it's me. But I wouldn't be keeping it real with y'all if I didn't tell you I have doubts all the time. I dream and wish that I could hire someone to live with me for 90 days to see if an expert could tell me what's missing? Am I still eating too little and training too much? Am I eating too much and training too little? Do I just need to eat less period? Not sure I've found that right fit yet and yes, IT PISSES ME OFF when others find it so easily and say, "Oh yea, I lost 5 pounds last week!" or when someone says, "Oh you quit soda? I did that and lost 10lbs!" I didn't lose a thing when I quit soda. I didn't lose a thing when quit Splenda. 

Enough whine fest. I just HAVE TO BE HONEST because it is frustrating as HELL, but I'm not gonna give up. I certainly HOPE to God I find a groove that works for me, maybe it is working and I'm just pissy today. ;-0 Maybe some donuts would help. 

JUST KIDDING. And by just kidding I mean DANG I'M GLAD THE WEATHER IS SO BAD THAT I DON'T FEEL LIKE RISKING A TRIP TO THE GROCERY TO BUY KRISPY KREMES LOL!!

Anyway, I must run because I worked out LATE today again (GAH!) and I'm late for dinner---is it snowing by you all? We got a lot of snow but it's just been steady and non-stop. You poor east coast peeps are getting it ALL!!! ;-)

Monday Manjoyment!!! 


Sweet Mother of God. 

Let's all pause for a moment and pray, because I have unclean thoughts right now. *Ahem*

Welcome y'all, I am changing my blog to be nothing but pictures of Huge Jackman jumping out of the water. See, boys, the ladies think like YOU do sometimes. We like gratuitous glimpses at beefy manolicious muffins. We just ACT like all we think about are deep, thought provoking topics. 

Moving along. What do you think I'm gonna say? That I'm bored and have nothing to do so I worked out for four hours?? HAHAHHAHAHAH That would be a glorious event. Oh wait, that's called VACATION. And it is 4 weeks away! WOOT!!

On that note, I have to do my workout in about 1/2 hour- going for a lovely run followed by some lower body work. KAPOW!! I'm not giving up because it is 6pm and I feel like sitting and watching 10 episodes of House while I eat some Krispy Kremes.....NO!! I'm making my OWN energy, I'm gonna crush it MORE than I did in my last workout! That's right. Just you wait and see what my Posterous feed shows for my workout. The Polar Tells All. Just sayin.

So, how did YOU start your week? Are you making PROGRESS or EXCUSES?? Come ON!!!! NEVER STOP! NEVER STOP! NEVER STOP!!! Can you IMAGINE if I ever stopped talking, tweeting, blogging, or vlogging? The world would come off its axis! The planets would stop. Animals would run! 

I have NOT had any caffeine today kids. This is NOT a joke.

Gotta run. I also found a new running route that goes right by the Fire Station. Hehehehe. I mean, just in case I fall and need a fireman to help me. With something. UNCLEAN THOUGHTS KELLY. Put them away.

I need a moment.

I'm All Over This. 

I have no idea what made Jennifer Lopez pop into my brain today, besides the fact that she is the shizzle and I love her music...oh that's why. I was feeling DOWN because I've been sick in bed for THREE DAYS and I was so excited to be back in town this week to start KICK BUTT WORKOUTS again....so I was listening to some JLO to cheer up and think positive thoughts....and then I remembered what killer abs she has.

State of the Union in my life. I've lost a good chunk of weight. I'm happy. Now it's time to take that to the next level. I've changed my eating, I know my body is responding, but I've gotta bring it. I am in no way satisfied with my torso. I want to chisel off the remaining fat on this bod - because remember, I'm never going to say, "Oh, yea, this is good ENOUGH". It's not. 

It really has been a new kind of torture being in town, really wanting to work out and being SICK AS A DOG. I saw Chalene Johnson's new stuff- TurboFire and um, yea. I'm all over this. Check it OUT!!! Are you kidding me??

Chalene is simply one of the most amazing women I've met in a while. She is as bubbly energetic and crazy as me, plus she's smoking HAWT with an amazing hubby and great kids. I can't say enough good things about her, which is also why she is featured in my soon-to-be-published (fingers crossed) book! Stay tuned on that! Monday Manjoyment. Yummy. 

Did you guys see "I Can Do Bad All By Myself", or "12 Rounds"? Brian J White was in them and he's quite the Monday Manjoyment candidate. You all feel free to give me your suggestions, otherwise it ends up being a whole lot of Jason Statham, Huge Jackman, and Channing Tatum. Ya know. 

Kick butt workout today. Old School Taebo + P90X Shoulders and Arms. I set these arms on FIRE! WOOT~! And I'm soooooo getting my diet down. Really focusing on cutting out snacking. I think that's a major hurdle for me. Might not be for you. For me, I do better with three meals. No guessing. And obviously writing everything down is KEY. For fat loss, I'm at 1500 calories a day with extra days of cardio in. After I reach the fat loss goal- and I'm on the way peeps- then I'll cut out that extra cardio and slowly see if I can handle slightly higher calories. 

Gotta run. Today was a jam-packed day of a bunch of office work. And what the heck I'm off today. Freaky Girl! Enjoy the vlog- I'm talking a lot about how important the whole idea is of tracking what you eat and how much. Sorry for the extra footage. Use it to help you fall asleep tonight. Or annoy your neighbors. ;-)

And then, let's all pause and appreciate some Jason Statham HAWTNESS. Dang.
