You've Got To Give Some to Get Some!

Yup it's me. Still riding high on the kickboxing bandwagon. It's what I can do right now until this brat shoulder of mine heals up. I'm looking forward to that moment, I tell you. Anyway, I forgot to share when I wrote my blog yesterday what I did for my workout. I did Taebo Amped "Rockin Buns":
Now I will say this. I remember getting Taebo Amped with the bar a couple years ago and my BFF Sherry and I were comparing cardio notes. It's good stuff, however I will say, as much I madly love Billy Blanks, he's a bit overkill in this video about "Oh your whole life will change when you buy the amplifier bar, the moves are so much better!!" Um, we get it, Billy, you want to sell the more expensive kit. But where did that get The Firm? They started off STRONG and knocked everyone out of the water 10 years ago, then they went bats**t crazy with every new workout coming out with EXCLUSIVE TOOLS that you had to have....and then all their top instructors left and now they are, well, kind of sucktastic. But--- while I'm rolling my eyes at him raving about the amplifier, which for some moves is AWESOME but really annoying for many others, it's a good workout. Today- MY BUNS ARE FEELING IT!! BIG TIME!! I MEAN SERIOUSLY BIG TIME.
Billy always would say in his videos, "You've got to give some to get some!" in other words, you want abs? Do the work. You want to fit in your old jeans? Do the work. No one is gonna hand it to you.

It sure feels good to be almost at the end of my first 21-day challenge to get back into CONSISTENCY and be able to say I did it. I won't give myself an A+ but I'll give myself an A-. And now I'm ready to kick it up even MORE with my next challenge. I'm creating some serious momentum at the end of the year. And when my shoulder is healed, you watch out. WATCH OUT.
Today, I did Cathe Friedrich's MMA Kickboxing.
She is so precious. I can't wait for you to see more of Cathe in 2012 hopefully with some fun FitFluential madness in Jersey. ;-) I have yet to find a Cathe DVD that isn't completely awesome. This one I'd say is more intermediate in the cardio factor but the moves were really good and some different core work at the end. I burned about 350 calories and stopped at 40 minutes in because I got a phone call.
And OMG have you seen that she has like 20 new DVDS out with Low Impact Focus? Every one is on my wish list. I'm not joking!! I LOVE HER!!
Question of the Day: What's on your Christmas Wish List, fitness-wise?
Cathe MMA Kickboxing,
Taebo Amped
