Cardio Occurred.

Yup. Today was cardio day. I did Kettlebells- actually, I did THIS WORKOUT from Angie Miller. Here is a little preview:

Don't be fooled by the cool calm demeanor of this woman. This workout is TOUGH. Seriously. I'm using a 20lb Kettlebell and I'm ready to move up in weight, although there are a few moves you want a lighter Kettlebell.

Anyway, I'm making an announcement. This is really for MY accountability. I have to get back to doing my CARDIO early in the morning. I've been in a habit of waking up, having my breakfast, working for several hours (when I'm not traveling) then doing a late morning workout. It's fine but sometimes the day gets away from me and then I'm trying to squeeze in a workout in the evening WHICH BITES. I don't know why but my stomach always feels more full in the later part of the day, which prevents me from doing kicka** cardio type workouts like Insanity.

So, I have done it before. I will do it again. I'll keep you posted on how well I do. AFTER ALL I CAN DO ANYTHING I SET MY MIND TO.

It's all a mind game people. Our workout success, our diet success- it is all in our mind. We have to get used to conquering bad/weak/give it up thoughts and convincing ourselves to focus on the goal, NOT on temporary distractions or the temporary state of our being/body NOW.

What do you do when you find yourself not "feeling like" working out? How do YOU get yourself on track? I'm just talking to myself about my goals. Focusing on specific things that RIGHT NOW are enough to annoy me- for example, I think of my favorite pair of jeans and how there is no way in hell I would wear them out in public at this moment. THAT PISSES ME OFF. So, when I don't feel like working out, I think about putting on those jeans. And, um, yea, that pretty much does it for me.

EVERY DAY IS ONE STEP CLOSER. WHEN YOU GIVE UP, YOU ARE ANOTHER STEP BEHIND.
