Momentum. Day 2.

I so love this picture. It also makes me realize how badly I want to get my shoulder situation diagnosed so I can fearlessly dive into my fitness moves. It's a bummer, such a bummer to be avoiding upper body work! OY!
Anyway-- I am really starting off this week right and starting off my 1KO21 Challenge WELL! I forgot to share what my workout was yesterday. I did some OLD SCHOOL Taebo from WAY back in the day. I LOVE me some Billy Blanks, even though his counts are often uneven. Then, I wanted to wrap up with some glute work so I thought I'd try the Butt Bible. Let me tell you something. I may have tried this DVD one time before- or maybe I previewed it, and I was not wowed. It didn't seem to be anything earth shattering at all-- like when you see something titled Butt Bible, you'd think it would be this AMAZING glute workout with moves or techniques you've never seen before. Um, we're talking plie squats, lying down side kicks, regular squats etc. Not much where -- like with Physique 57-- I was going HOLY COW WHO THOUGHT OF THIS AND HOLY COW MY GLUTES ARE ON FIRE??
My next thing is simply a personal observation. For those of you into figure competition and serious weight training, Pauline Nordine is like a TOTAL BADASS-- see below.

AND:

So...you can imagine my surprise to see Pauline looking like this on the cover of this DVD:

NOTE: I am NOT saying she looks bad here I'm just saying they clearly toned her DOWN a bit for the photo and personally I'm wondering why. Some of you might not aspire to that much of a hard core physique but let's respect it and respect the work and dedication that goes into it....and as you can see on the DVD she looks like a totally different person. DURING the workouts, she said so many cheesy things it was worse than the Brazil Butt Lift guy (And that is a killer workout!!!)
She said that "this won't give you a yoga butt! Yoga butts are FLAT!". Um.....?

Hello?

She also says, "I may be from Sweden but I'm not STUPID!!". Yea...pretty sure most Swedish peeps want to bitch slap you for that one Pauline. WHATEVER. Total drag. I don't see myself doing this workout again. Still, it was a good burn overall and I'm proud I did my workout in the morning! WOOO!
Here's my post-workout vlog from yesterday:
And yes, I am going to get X-rays on the shoulder hopefully tomorrow. But yesterday was a great start to my 21-day challenge of CONSISTENCY FIRST. Consistency. I don't care if this shoulder thing makes it so I can't do upper body weights for a month. I will workout 6x a week. Period.
I have to run. Have a Sears FitStudio chat tonight at 8pm CST - Join us on Twitter, follow #FitStudio to chat about working out on the road and keeping it going! ;-)
Question of the Day: When YOU travel or go on vacation, do you get your workouts in? How? If not, why not?
