Surprise Yourself.

Hey Y'all! How was your Tuesday? Today was one of those days that simply FLEW by.....here it is 8pm and I just wrapped up our Twitter Party with Multi-Grain Cheerios and I'm thinking, "Where did the hours go today?". Ahhh well. What are ya gonna do?
Anyway, the title of today's post is "Surprise Yourself" and this was on my mind as we were in the midst of our Twitter party (which is with NBC's The Biggest Loser show as a partner, #client) and I'm seeing all these amazing transformations on the TV show. With most of them, you see not only physical transformation but emotional ones and often, the people say, "I didn't think I could EVER...." or "I had no idea I could...." - you get the idea.
Remember how I've shared with you all that success in any fitness journey is largely going to depend on a POSITIVE MINDSET. You have to decide what you want to accomplish. Then you have to BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN DO IT. A big change that I am making in my own life right now is to STOP the mental "torture" of myself that I've been allowing- the constant negative reinforcement I have been dishing out to myself that only served to stress me out MORE. Instead of thinking thoughts like, "I might as well give up.....I'm not seeing any changes...", I'm thinking thoughts of success like, "I'm going to blow my mind with the successful changes I'm making. I'm going to go above and beyond my original goals. There is NOTHING that can stop me."
When you see before and after pictures like the ones above, do you think that this person honestly thought they'd end up looking like that after picture? I bet many of them didn't, and they probably got REALLY frustrated on the way there....but they didn't give up.
Be your own cheerleader. Commit to that. Encourage yourself. Commit to getting rid of the things that BRING YOU DOWN because believe me, a healthy mind and STATE OF MIND is just as important in achieiving your fitness objectives as your physical capabilities.
On that note, even though it's late, I'm off to get my Yoga in for the night. I was planning to do Jackie Warner's new Circuit DVD that I have, but that will be tomorrow and I will review it for you then.
Question of the Day: Do you feel over-stressed? What do you do currently to chill out, relieve stress? If you haven't been doing anything, what are your plans to LOSE THE STRESS in your life?

hey i see the bangs again nooooooo
i like ur look without the bangs!!!!!
and i really like the lighter hair i seen in one of ur blogs a few days ago you look way younger and prettier lighter hair and no bangs
Over stressed is an under statement....I am SO stressed I started crying in the owner of my companys office last wed...Reeeeeal professional!! LOL
Right now I am doing nothing which is causing me to gain weight. I am so mentally exhausted at the end of the day that I lose all physical strength as well.
I literally jumped up at midnight last night and made a list of things I had to get accomplished today for work. My mind is ON 24/7
What I plan on doing is walking/running on my treamill. I was SHOCKED when i got on it Sunday I only lasted 20 minutes and was sweating like a pig I should be ashamed of myself. I would consider myself semi-in shape...according to the treadmill I am NOT! I need to commit to that exercising really helps destress me!
p.s.. I will be on Channel 5 news tonight at 10PM...keep an eye out ;)
Elisha, ughhh! I'm always confused what I like better......but I like hearing your feedback, I'm so used to my bangs and I get so impatient trying to grow them out, that's the problem!! hahaha ;-)
Kelly- You and I are SO much alike!! Hard to turn the minds off and turn the stress off!! WOOOOO I'm gonna watch the news girl!!!! What's the topic?
Mindless snacking - i hear you loud and clear kellygirl! It's the only reason my results had plateaud... there are lots of calories in PB lol... I've decided to compete again, the mindless snacking has STOPPED and after 4 days the scales are already moving DOWN!
Like you i spend ALL day talking to clients so by 5pm my brain is FRIED! I find going for a walk outside (30mins or more) allows me to unwind, chill and relax after a chaotic day at work. I think the fresh air does wonders for the mind and soul :-)
I hear ya sista!!
The topic is the city wrote me a bogus ticket and I went to the media to complain about it. I asked them to make it spin about city revenue, not sure how it will pan out though.
Kelly- interesting. I'm tempted to go to the media about dealing with my ass-clown mortgage company Chase Bank.....I cannot believe the colossal cluster-f**k I'm addressing every day. unreal.
Chelle- now that I am being like my own "cop" I'm really making a dent in the extra mindless eating- I KNOW THIS HAS BEEN A HUGE CULPRIT in me kind of just staying where I am with fat loss...I feel like I'm seeing differences daily....and I plan to keep getting better and better. ;-)
