Bad Blogger KO!!

Kids- I have been back in town for ONE day and I have to tell you I think I'm just adjusting to actually having more than ONE day in town without having to turn around and pack and leave again. Yesterday afternoon I went to lunch with family, then some shopping, then to a movie with my girlfriends. Wow. It has been FOREVER since I have done anything so simple and so social. And today I ran- in a way (see vlog below) then had a LONG OVERDUE massage and went to dinner. This evening I have been finishing putting up my Fall Decorations- and painting a hallway table- had to visit The Depot and get sandpaper and all that, because I'm painting a table and a mirror black. It was bugging me. And now, as good as they are looking, I may go nutty next week and paint my existing dining table and armoir black as well. I bought them from Pier One ages ago and they have a rustic wood look, which I love in certain settings but, my style now is much more Pottery Barn with dark woods and I like my woods to match in a way.

RAMBLING. Dang.

So- all that said, I'm rushing to put up my post for today - should be somewhat back to normal by tomorrow morning- and my vacation plans have changed, so I'll be doing more of a "staycation" in Chicago- and then going for a spa getaway with my bestie AMY!!

More to follow and I'll be catching up on your blogs too!! FINALLY!! MISSING YOU ALL!

When you have a food allergy or a food intolerance, it can hit you right away...OR...it can hit you 12 hours later or even up to 48 hours later. This info from our Allergist/Immunologist who is also a professor at the local medical college. He says that's what one of the big problems with diagnosing food issues is - everyone thinks "if I have a problem, it will hit me right away." That's not always the case. People will be in the emergency room fixating on what they just ate, but it could something they ate yesterday that just got through their digestive system and processed to the point where the body freaked out about it. Also, you can have an immediate reaction and then get more of a reaction the next day or even the next.
