Balance is a GOOD thing.

Hey Kittens!! Have you missed me? Wow, it has been NOT a fun week for me. I had to go back to the hospital this morning for further testing but clearly what I have is significant and it's ON MY LAST NERVE. I have these severe abdominal cramps that just linger- and a fear of eating, yet I know I have to eat something, yet when I eat, the cramps get worse and so on and so on. I should be getting antibiotics tomorrow after the labs come back, so hopefully that will knock this out of my body. Again, I am SO OVER IT.

;-) But the picture above shows what I will be doing tonight. And I certainly make sure I have a massage every week to BALANCE my life. I work hard, I workout hard, and you have to BALANCE what you do. For all the time I'm out in meetings and traveling, and attending late events where there is a lot of business socializing, I need to BALANCE that out with "down time". And let me tell you, when I don't have my KO "down time", I get unhappy. I like to be happy.

So, sometimes, I believe that bumps in the road, like getting a cold or whatever, can be a "wake up call" that maybe we are a little out of balance and need to chill out. I'm DYING to go running or workout but my medication for this issue says "no exercise or activity that would cause overheating". And I'm dehydrated so it's all just good clean fun overall. ;-9

Enjoy some vloggy goodness kids, and hopefully I'll be back and at em in a day or two!! Cuz I'm ready for a THREE MILE RUN!! ;-)

Question: What is your favorite place to get a healthy carryout lunch?

Sometimes after getting a forced rest from an illness (or something), when you get back in the swing of things everything is "better" somehow. Like the rest was exactly what you needed so the body you keep beating on really gets to repair and rebuild itself. Although it sure isn't fun when sickness is what forces the rest!

I am so lame that the only place I can think of to get a healthy carry out lunch is Subway - a roasted chicken salad. I guess my favorite Mexican place could count to - their grilled fajitas are awesome and not at all high in calories, fat or anything. Lots of chicken, peppers and onions. Yum!

Do you know what though, G- other than testing out Subway's new breakfast ideas (which were YUMMY!) I haven't had anything from Subway in ages....I think I overdosed on Subway for so long when I lived in Pensacola, I need an excuse to go back- for lunch!! ;-)

Subway Sandwiches. Roast Chicken on Whole Grain with only mustard as the condiment is kick ass.

Oooohhh, you poor thing...sounds awful! I hope you stuck to your words and did NOT run...that would be the worst thing you could do right now.
Hope you heal quickly!
Subway is my favorite take away for sure. Pretty much always good.
have a great weekend!

REST REST REST kelly girl, i know it sucks but i bet you'll come back stronger than ever!!! I agree, - sometimes getting sick is your body's way of telling you to take a chill pill. So bring back the BALANCE and bring on a kick-butt 2nd half of 2010! =)

Chelle- I know, I know and yes sitting still and not working out- SUCKS!! ;-( hehehe
Rae Rae: no I didn't workout or run. I was still getting sick from food as of last night!! Ugh! Sounds like everyone loves Subway! Hmmmm I need to get back there, when I CAN eat! haha
Jackie, you will laugh when I say this but I was like, "Wow they have Subway up in Vancouver?" haha

I'm a huge fan of Chipotle. The company believes in organic, locally grown vegis and organic meat. Quality is important with them! And you can pick from the offerings and custom-make whatever you like. I usually get a burrito bowl with the onions, peppers, chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and a nice glop of guac. You can add beans or rice or have it in a tortilla, but I avoid that stuff.

Seriously delcious.

Another good one if Panera. I like to get one of their chicken salads and have another half order of chicken placed on it.

Deborah- I totally agree with your choices. I'm relatively new to Chipotle, but LOVE IT and how you can customize. Panera too- some of the sandwiches can be 850 calories or so but I just then plan accordingly or might have 1/2 for lunch and 1/2 later. YUMMMY
