I'm in Indianapolis! Yes: at the Indy 500 With Chevy! UPDATED
Hey Kids!! Happy Memorial Weekend!! WOOT! Just wanted to let you know what I'm up to- I am here in Indianapolis with Chevy for the Indy500!! Yes, you might be laughing as - a car race is not my bag. Kind of like a real tough guy going to a shoe convention. But- I'm looking forward to the experience- I've heard it is a madhouse of people and - I get to do a lap today at 2:30pm with Robin Roberts. Pray that SHE is driving kids, pray!!! See the new Chevy Camaro above? That is what I drove here from Chicago! (Minus all the Indy500 bling of course.) I will have pictures and video of the weekend, the car, my overly-crappy-scary hotel (oh dear....wait til you hear) and all the shenanigans!!
The Chevy Camaro above - pretty nice ride (please note, for disclosure, Chevy has provided me with a Camaro this weekend at no charge so I can ride in it, and share my opinions on it for everyone. #ChevyMissions). It has OnStar in it, which I was familiar with but had no idea how much MORE it is than a GPS system. Wow. Talk about safety features. I'm not trying to sell you on this, but I honestly really want OnStar in all my cars in the future, now that I understand all it does. Stay tuned to hear more.
The traffic from Chicago to Indy yesterday was from hell. Seriously. I mean, it took 2 hours BEFORE I HIT THE INDIANA STATE LINE. That's normally 1 hour and it was 2 hours in a spot that was just bumper to bumper. Then it was ok for a while on 65 but then- more bumper to bumper and more asshat men drivers trying to be tough guys. #FAIL
Anyway, stay tuned to my Posterous stream for updates. Gotta run and get ready. Someone actually suggested I be sure to wear "comfortable shoes" to the racetrack. Excuse me???
TAKE A PEEK - WE GOT TO DO A LAP IN THE CHEVY PACE CAR.....whoa.

Fun!! Sorry traffic was so bad though - eek! It's starting to lighten up around here with the kiddies getting out for the summer!
