Keeps Getting Better.

Is that your goal? To keep getting better? That's it for me. Every day will be better than the day before, every workout will be better than the one before and my results will be better every week.
This isn't the LAME SHOW.
Happy Friday Kittens! I had a GREAT old-school workout today- I did Taebo Advanced and it rocked!! My calves are SO sore from yesterday's Insanity workout (not sure why.....) and so I wanted to do some kickboxing today. I did 45 minutes of Taebo and then some killer shoulder work. Total burn in 65-70 minute workout was 600 calories. Not bad. Not great, but I'm very glad that I squeezed in my workout, even at like 6PM on a Friday. Hey, I'm committed. I'm not taking shortcuts. I'm in it TO WIN IT.
Amen.
I met Amy for lunch today. She got her hair cut in this bold sassy layered look and I really wanted to like beat her up for looking so good. She said she was "looking scuzzy and not showered" so I felt ok meeting her in my "YEA-BEEN-WEARING-THESE-SWEATS-AROUND-THE-HOUSE" look and baseball cap. Then I show up and Amy look like a model for a hair commercial AND also had her cute jeans on. I almost cut a bitch. WHAT? Yea, you heard me. I looked like her bodyguard. It made me hope that my hair is grown out enough for the extensions I am considering. Yes, my stylist tells me you can do real (translation = expensive) extensions with real hair, they stay in for like a year while you grow your hair out. I'm DOWN WITH THAT.
So, we had sushi. It was "B-" sushi. Meh. But, all said, I love spending time with Amykins. We both have to really kick some 1/2 Marathon training into gear. The past two weeks of my training have been on the sucktastic side, that must change. So- STAY TUNED.
Are you kicking butt?? Are you ready to enter into holiday season getting LEANER and HOTTER while everyone else gets more LAZY AND LETHARGIC?? Yea, that's about as hot as Rod Stewart still wearing a Speedo at age 70+. #TimeToMoveOnRod
I Digress.
I'm so thrilled to be HOME for a few weeks. Amy and I are going to kick some serious workout butt, you'll see some vlogs with our Matt Damon trainer guy that likes pain, and we are gonna do some of those killer TRX classes and HOT HOT yoga. Yummy.
QUESTION OF THE DAY: Do you drink soda?
Kickboxing,
Taebo

I do not drink soda. No way. I don't miss it either. :)
I had some hair envy today as well. I went to a new salon and all the stylists had short sassy sexy hair and I was jealous. I held strong though. I'm growing it out dang it!
Glad you are getting so much out of the book girl; it did help me with my breathing but I found the form stuff really difficult w/my out of whack crooked hips. I can see where face to face classes would be extremely beneficial for allot of the rest of the book's lessons.
I've stepped back into my comfort zone for a while since I screwed up my other hip now-drills and me don't get along (drills were from another book).
Just going to stick with plain old running short distances for now...and stick to my regular weights; just want to stay healthy and fit and not screw my body up...hehe.
Have a great weekend and enjoy the quiet!
xoxo
Rae Rae, I am SO down with that approach: do what works and what avoids injury!! ;-) Today my calves are still killing me- OY but I'm fine with DOMS over injury for sure.
Lisa- I'm the same way EVERY time I see girls with fabulous short hair....but I won't do it again....I find myself looking at my old vlogs wanting my old hair back!! WAAHHH!!
Stef, I don't miss it at all anymore either!! ;-)
Everytime I cut my hair short I look like asshole. I'm going to be the old lady with a braided bun...when I get that old. lol!
LMAO!!!!
I am ready to crush it this week with you girl!!! :) I need someone to give me a little smack talk and keep me running!
I would love to get a TRX - I would love to just have a chance to try one. After attempting to do stuff on the rings at Crossfit on Friday I definitely needs some work in that area. It's weird when you are amazingly strong in some areas and then you find something that you completely bomb at (that you thought your strength would carry you through). Definitely gives me some new goals and something to shoot for! So, yep, getting better every day sounds like a darn good plan.
Let's do it Glynis! I know we are on the way. No doubt about that.
Amy, YOU GOT IT GIRL.
