I haven't had flow in over a year. Plus that little surgery I had last year, check out who gets it...Urethral caruncles are common in elderly postmenopausal women but are rare in premenopausal or perimenopausal women...WTF!! Oh well..

I call that little area my speed bump ;)

Oh HELLO. Welcome to my world. I NEVER worried about what I ate. Then I hit my early 40's and voila - I gained 20 lbs seemingly overnight. Not paying attention - that was me. So you are giving some really good advice about paying attention early in life so you can be ready for the big metabolism crash and burn. (I never had kids either...)

And I went from being a 34B (small B) all my life to suddenly being a 36C (almost D) cup. Good lawd! I don't know what to do with these things. I have to cover them up, buy bigger shirts that don't pull at the buttons, wear two jog bras when I'm working out, etc. What a nuisance!

I have to admit - I wonder about young girls who get breast implants at 20-something. Man - they are going to have a CHESTFUL at 40. whew.

And the back rolls - OMG - you are so right on. I always gained weight in the hips and thighs. Now it's all above the waist and in my arms. My arms don't fit in my sleeves anymore. :-(

I'm not going to lay down and die over it. Yes, I will work out harder and eat better. It just stinks how you can go from one day being all "la-tee-dah" and the next day wondering what the hell just happened...

I am 54 and I weighed 172 on Jan 1 2008, but in a one month (Dec 2008) I gained 51 lbs. My brother's death might have had something to do with it, but nonetheless something changed in my 5'11" frame. I am still attempting to adjust diet to get the weight under control ( as I exercise daily) but still struggle with it.

Women have more challenges than men with regard to reproductive system issues, but at one point or another metabolism changes and it changes constantly as you get older. I am having to adjust once more to find the balance and I will, but it is a tough journey indeed. Because you are aware of the issues, you will solve the problem.

That is why life is special. You constantly have to make adjustments and if you do so your life will improve daily. If you do not, the cost of stagnation is almost incalculable.

Great video. Take care.

Wow - great comments y'all. Jacey I was cracking up reading that "chestful" comment HAHA!!

There is no other way to say it; it just plain SUCKS how much our metabolism changes as we get older and then the whole perimenopause/menopause thing- what the heck? Why couldn't we opt out of this?? GRRR

I am committed to getting rid of this gift of "extra warmth" around my midsection. If I have to eat tuna salad and stone soup every day I'll do it! DANG!
