Randomness

Hey Y'all!! How's your Saturday? Mine? Good. Although today was a bit odd. I had a tummy ache all day long today and really for NO reason. This morning I had my usual- probiotic and then Tassimo cappuccino (love 80 calories of all natural goodness), then Green Smoothie a la Shakeology (bliss. Delicioso) I had to go get my nails -and toenails all pretty and by the time I got there I had this stomach ache. What's up with that? I used to have stomach aches ALL THE TIME when I was in my twenties...then I was so loving it when I read "'Eat Right For Your Blood Type" because it was so spot ON with me (I'm type O positive). All that to say, I really for the most part don't get tummy aches anymore and when I do- I can immediately tell why- i.e. oh too much dairy (I can have little bits) or something. Anyway, I'm rambling but- it is almost 8pm and I still have this blasted tummy ache.

Suffice it to say, when I got home around 5pm, I did NOT want to do my workout. I had this tummy ache, a headache on top of it, was tired and just feeling like a wuss. But I forced myself to do an upper body blast and I'm very proud of myself that I did. When I think back over the past 6-8 months, I just am so much more aware of how I have allowed myself in times like this to "rest" or "take it easy, you're sick" and not do my workouts. Guess what? you go through an extended period of weird medical baloney and those 'here and there' take it easy times ADD UP. I wanna go back in time and smack myself. I really was not paying attention to how much I was giving in to this medical madness.

On the other hand, what's done is done. I have been fighting a horrible situation with the skin infection, the medications and the resulting side effects. And that's putting it mildly. But, I'm just so glad that I've got my fire back. I'm totally back to 110% and it feels divine. Seriously. I can't say it loud enough!!! WOOT!! And I told y'all, I can SEE CHANGES just this week. I can only imagine how much progress I will have made by my Miami trip next month and GOODNESS by the end of this year!! WHOA!!

Anyway, I must run. I think we are heading to Whole Foods tomorrow- very psyched about that. Trader Joes is about 15 minutes from me and Whole Foods seems farther- but it's actually only about 30 minutes away, so mom is going with me to buy some fabulous healthy yumminess.

Have a great weekend peeps!! Keep busting out those killer workouts!! WOOT!  ;-)

Also, I'd like to say for the record. I am in MAD LOVE WITH MICHAEL CHIARELLO. Dayum. People, can someone clone this man for me? He's utterly mantrosexual, he knows how to cook - WELL- he has a fabulous decorating style....he's Italian....um need I say more? Married yes. Perhaps you know someone like him for me. Pass him on. Plus I love his cooking show, this man loves to entertain as much as I do.

I get his catalog called "Napa Style" -- all great things for people who love to cook, entertain and drink wine. I'm chuckling at this video clip tho cuz here you are professing your love for the man and he is putting LARGE sausages into cook. Did you pick this clip on purpose? LOL! I think I am now in love with him, too. ha ha!

Hey Sweets- no you don't 'need' to know your blood type, but it may be a good idea in case you were in an accident and needed blood. I am glad I know mine....just a thought.
Have a great rest of the weekend hon!

April, I had so many peeps write me and ask about knowing your blood type, I think it can only help. Next time you go to the doctor, find out. Just a thought. And yes, Ari and April, Mr. Chiarello is serious Manjoyment. And seriously, his show is the best....he has the best ideas for parties and get togethers....which is what I love to do, celebrate with friends and family. I must find out if he has relatives of the male sort that are, well...LIKE HIM.

The eating for your blood type definitely intrigues me. As soon as I figure out what my blood type is (!!!) I'm going to read up on it.

Sorry you weren't feeling well!

Ashley- that book was really spot on for me, and it's not really about losing weight, more about the whole healthy digestion/elimination process. Was pretty interesting. Highly recommend it.
