People, today's post will not be fun and exciting. Today I learned that my friend Meg (Megan Porter, or @megapixel as we knew her on Twitter) was killed in a head-on car accident. She was 24 years old. You've seen me talking to her/about her in my vlogs; we met on Twitter and she was (obviously) a beautiful young woman with a fantastic sense of humor and so much in front of her. Please, simply realize out of this what I have always said in MANY MANY of my vlogs- that life is short. NONE OF US are guaranteed another hour. And we need to wake up every day excited and humbled by life and thankful for the abundance of blessings that surround us. We need to cherish CHERISH our lives and those in it, and don't take for granted that you'll have another chance. Everything happens for a reason, and I hope that out of this horrible tradgedy - that all of us here can learn and make changes in our own lives for the better. Let's all pray for Meg's family. She was an only child.

Goodbye @megapixel.

:*( PRAYERS TO THE FAMILY.
Wow what a tragedy :( I've seen her name before. You're right, we take so many things for granted.
Wow, this is so sad. I'm really sorry about what happened to your friend. My heart goes out to her family and loved ones. :-(
i am so sorry to hear about your friend. all our love and prayers are with you and the gam :)
Sorry to hear about @megapixel. Very tragic and a loss of a child is extremely difficult on the parents. Will keep them in our prayers.
Thanks to all of you for taking the time to comment and also emails...Meg is so missed by so many. ;-)
Meg was bright, funny, witty, sweet, lovable, kind and sincere. I knew her only from Twitter, but that shows the power of Twitter, bringing people together from around the country and world. My heart breaks with the loss of potential. Meg had her whole life in front of her. As a father of two beautiful girls, I dream the dream of almost every father, to watch them grow and blossom, fall in love and get married, to walk your little girl down the aisle. Watch her start a family & choose her path in life. To have that all ripped away, so violently and quickly, must be devistating. Meg was a friend, and I will miss her. She made me laugh....and now she makes me cry. Rest in peace Meg.
Terry what a beautiful comment. Thanks for sharing..... ;-)
I'm so sorry Kelly, this is so sad. I will keep her friends and family in my thoughts and prayers.
I'm so sorry, Kelly. Life is precious, as are you. I'm praying for you, hon.
How awful Kelly...wow, you just never know. Yes, cherish each moment....I'm so sorry. Take care of yourself girl.
Kelly, I was so sad to hear. I had been on her website and watched her vlogs. She seemed like a great girl. I'll pray for her family and friends and for you. The message you write about in this post is so true.. i read before that real love is when someone lives in your heart long after they have gone. We should all honour friends/ family/loved ones who have died by living as best we can.
Ugh. I heard about her passing. So sad. Amidst all the overdone Hollywood death drama, here is a young woman with a promising future--snuffed out in a random car accident. I have daughters her age. I can't imagine. Her passing, to me, is bigger than the Hollywood funerals. She was a real (and gorgeous) woman.
Breaks my heart. This really gets me. I dont get life sometimes.
Oh my word I am so sorry Kelly... I know how close you 2 were :( Your blog was beautiful and such a good reminder! My heart is broken for her family & friends... she was a wonderful woman who never shy'd from sharing her life... as short as it was :(
My prayers go out to her family & friends! May God bless them with the strength to get through this tragedy!
Im also so glad that she picked such a wonderful Role Model in you Kelly! Again Im so sorry for your loss friend ((((hugs)))))
xo
